The programme of activities has been designed to follow a participatory action research methodology. This means that it will be co-developed by various stakeholders; and that it will build knowledge and strengthen capacity by first establishing a shared understanding amongst the partners.
As such the project will develop various activities, including:
- A desk-based research activity
- Development of Joint Strategic Development Plan
- Knowledge exchange and capacity-strengthening activities visits both in Egypt and UK.
- Communication and dissemination activities
During the activity we will focus on one or two crafts, in particular woodwork and metalwork as we have ongoing experience in these sectors. By doing this, we aim to set achievable tasks which contribute to the emergence of a new generation of crafters.
